Jade ThomasRGN, MSc Health Education and Promotion, Post Graduate Diploma Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Prescriber, Asthma Diploma
I originally come from Nottingham and started as a nurse in 1986 when crawling down a coal face was part of the training; fortunately that’s not the case now. I have worked in several city hospitals and ventured to Washington DC Trauma Centre for a while. I returned to the NHS and joined Lake Road Practice in 2003 where I have completed additional training to become a Nurse Practitioner/Prescriber.
I am married with one daughter and have two kittens. I enjoy many activities including travelling, sailing and generally being outdoors.
I qualified as a nurse in 2002 and have worked in both a hospital and community setting most recently as community matron. I completed extra training to become a specialist practitioner and prescriber. When not working I enjoy reading music camping coastal walks bike rides and spending time with my family.

I have been working at Lake Road since 2002 having moved from Chichester road after the two Practices merged. I specialise in respiratory management as well as doing routine Practice Nurse duties.
I have worked in primary care since qualifying over 5 years ago. I was a community nurse for 2 years visiting people in their own homes and moved to out of ours services still visiting people at home only at strange hours of the night. I have wanted to be a practice nurse since qualifying and am thrilled to be part of the lake road team. I have 2 teenage children, 2 cats and a dog along with a tarantula called Dave.
I qualified as a Nurse in 2001 and have worked in Oxford as a Trauma Nurse since then. Myself and my family moved down to the coast in 2012 and following maternity leave I joined the Lake Road Practice where I now work as a Practice Nurse. I am currently studying on a Practice Nurse foundation course and working part time.
I am married with two young sons. We all enjoy trips in our campervan and when I get time, my hobby is photography.
